How to meet us
Bureau
Despite the fact that we all work unsalaried, our central point is not the living room of one of our members, but the environment centre (Umweltzentrum) in Dresden (located in the East of Germany). Also see the respective rubric 'contact'. There are no regular bureau times, but you can call +49 (0)351-49 43 320 and leave a message also if we are not there.
Annual meetings
Association and general meeting
Every spring our general meeting takes place. This get-together characterised by some formalities is at the same time our annual general meeting, and thus offers every member the possibility to get to know each other better during project planning, retrospect, hikes, and 'games and fun'.
Great Baikal Trail review meeting
Every autumn we invite all volunteers of the 'Great Baikal Trail' project to a review meeting. Apart from the common intercommunication and presentation of the camp work respectively, as well as the lively exchange of photos and videos, the meeting especially conduces to the debriefing and therefore the avoidance of problems and mistakes in the next year. Nevertheless, we hike and party during this meeting as well!
Newsletters
In order to inform our members, the friends of the Baikalplan e.V., and those who are interested, we send a series of newsletters at irregular intervals, but exclusively via e-mail.
Novosti Baikalplana - At least 12 times a year you are informed about all important matters, about the association and its projects during the so called Novosti. (members + sympathisers)
Baikalinfo newsletters - Everybody who has subscribed him- or herself via our travel information portal www.baikalinfo.com, and now wants to be kept informed about the latest changes at Lake Baikal or i.e. about new categories on the website, receives this newsletter about two or three times a year.
Baikalinfo news - At the beginning of November we ask everybody who has got in touch with us over the year or who has stayed in a hostel in Irkutsk to communicate your experiences and further news to us.
Maps newsletters - We send this newsletter, which contains new items, special offers, or service offers, to the most important map shops in whole Europe two or three times a year.
