GBT project gets awarded
Although we had visited the Russian Consulate in Germany many times before, we never had the chance to get inside the Embassy of the Russian Federation. This finally changed on 10th June 2005 when we were invited to the awards ceremony for German-Russian Civic Involvement organised by the foundation Robert Bosch Stiftung.
We had applied for the prize several months before and had been waiting for an answer for a long time. Unfortunately, we weren't among the top three who received a several thousand euros prize money. But we got a certificate for outstanding projects as a symbolic prize.
All in all, there were 50 projects out of more than a hundred who applied and were awarded. For us it was a great honour to be one of them since we got the chance to make our project more popular.
